I have been on every ride since it started in 2001, except for 2003 when I was away for the year - and I am planning to do it again this year 2007 - for me it is a chance to kick back and get away from the business of life in suburbia and travel with an interesting bunch of like minded people - not too sure which is my favourite part of the ride - it is all good - the bush camps, the awesome Blencoe Falls, the varying terrain we ride through, the pub at Ravenshoe (highest in Qld), the mountain pool and waterfall in Wongabel State Forest, the early morning swim in Lake Tinaroo... I will stop there. See you this September - Deryck (and Dympna, who will be on the kitchen crew this year)

My best friend was in the support crew cooking food and squeezing the odd day's ride in. She just raved about the great people and the physical challenge of the event. Apparently...seats with suspension are the only way to go. Cheers, Tania.
