If you only do one tropical far north Queensland wilderness bicycle tour next year make sure it’s this one.
The scenery is superb & the (2007) company very congenial.
My fellow riders & the support crew comprised a fascinating cross section of modern Australian society.
Each individual would be worthy of a few descriptive paragraphs to themselves.
(although the 25-30yo female doctor demographic was slightly over represented & they have therefore been blurred in my psyche into one composite & relentlessly cheery youthful over achiever.)
But a doctor or twelve on the trip can only be a good thing (especially if you are considering doing this and your family has a history of heart problems)
Anyhoows ...would definitely recommend this trip, maybe even to people I like.
PS if you are a 1st timer on the 2008 tour under no circumstances should you raise the topic of salt water crocodiles during the briefing on the 1st evening. This will result in general merriment at your expense & you may find yourself pelted with fruit.

What a great week, good food good company, and lots of variety in the terrain with our very own guides. It's all good, be back. Regards Calan.

That was a truely wilderness ride. I can't imagine a better one in Australia. To boot the organisation was spot on and the grub just great. What a magnificient job all of the volunteets did. My aspiration is to be a volunteer in some future time. Bugger the rides with thousands of strangers - it was a pleasure to get to know lots of like-minded people. Hope to catch up with you all in the future.

I had a fantastic time, I was keen to go again on the monday but I had to go to work (darn!!)
A big thank you to: the support crew, they were all great, the food was great and all the riders were easy to ride with.
Butch Cassidy was the highlight of the trip for me (I get goose bumps when telling people.) I hope to be able to do the ride again next year.
